About Me

Leigh D Walker is a classically trained artist who specialises in drawing and painting.

Born in south-west Scotland, she completed her Batchelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art/Heriot Watt University in 1998. After working as a professional artist and lecturer, she returned to her studies to complete a Master of Fine Arts Degree at Edinburgh College of Art/Edinburgh University in 2006.

Being the recipient of numerous awards, Leigh’s work has been exhibited widely in the UK and Australia. Her art has been shown in venues such as The Royal Scottish Academy, The National Portrait Gallery (London), the Mall Galleries (London) and The Scottish Gallery. Leigh’s drawings and paintings are held in public and private collections throughout the UK and Australia.

Leigh’s art has featured in the BP Portrait Award Official Calendar, The Financial Times (UK), The Mail on Sunday and Livewire Magazine.

Leigh currently lives and creates in Canberra, Australia.
